Delo Group discussing launch of container shipments from Indian port of Mormugao to Novorossiysk - group founder
MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Delo Group is discussing the launch of a regular sea container line featuring a call at the port of Novorossiysk with the administration of the port of Mormugao (India, state of Goa), the company's founder Sergei Shishkarev told journalists on the sidelines of the Transport of Russia 2025 forum.
The Indian port ceased container handling several years ago, but the equipment for this exists, Shishkarev said.
Another interesting joint Russian-Indian project could be exports of mineral fertilizers in containers, he said.
Delo Group operates marine container terminals in the Azov-Black Sea, Baltic and Far Eastern basins, a network of railway container terminals, and a fleet of containers and well cars. The group's transportation and logistics division includes the intermodal container operator TransContainer and the multimodal transport operator Ruscon, while its stevedoring division includes DeloPorts and leading container terminal operator Global Ports. Group founder Sergei Shishkarev owns 50% of company, Rosatom state corporation owns 49% and R-Alliance LLC holds 1%.
