Witkoff to visit Turkey for talks with Zelensky - media

WASHINGTON. Nov 18 (Interfax) - U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky during a visit to Turkey, which starts on Wednesday, Associated Press said on Tuesday, citing its source.

"U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff will join Zelensky in Turkey, a senior Turkish official told the Associated Press," it said.

Bloomberg said earlier that Zelensky was going to visit Turkey on Wednesday. He will have meetings and plans to intensify settlement talks and resume prisoner swaps, it said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin was open to communication with participants in the Ukraine talks due in Turkey if they consider it necessary to inform him about the results, but there are no such plans for now.
