Russia exports 525,000 tonnes of wheat to Kenya totaling $119 mln in 10M - Agroexport center
MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russia exported around 525,000 tonnes of wheat to Kenya totaling over $119 million in 10M 2025, experts at the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center told Interfax ahead of a series of working meetings between Russian and Kenyan grain companies.
The meetings are taking place on Wednesday in Kenya, as organized by Agroexport and the Union of Grain Exporters and Producers, with the assistance of the Russian Agriculture Ministry's representative in Kenya.
The center said that wheat is the undisputed leader among agricultural products exported from Russia to Kenya, with 2.1 million tonnes shipped totaling over $474 million in 2024.
The center singled out sunflower oil, with exports at a record high of $1.5 million in 2021, among other Russian export commodities. Exports have also been significant in other years at over $300,000 in 2018 and around $750,000 in 2022.
Furthermore, Russia has supplied Kenya with coriander seeds, legumes, ice cream, water, and beer over the years.
