Ukrainian State Board Guard Service provides border-crossing data

MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Following a 10.5% decline in passenger traffic across the Ukrainian border on the first week of November, the traffic decreased by another 8.7% to 474,000 travelers on the second week, November 8-14, Ukrainian media said, citing the State Border Guard Service.

The number of departures went down to 241,000 from 243,000 the week before, while the decline in the number of arrivals was much larger, 276,000 versus 233,000.

The number of departures and arrivals was practically the same, 39,000 versus 38,000, on Saturday, November 15.

The number of vehicles crossing the border also decreased to 122,000 from 124,000 over the week, and the number of humanitarian trucks went down from 496 to 461.

An update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimated the number of Ukrainian refugees at 5.880 million worldwide on November 14, 2025, (versus 5.753 million on October 3), including 5.331 million in Europe (5.192 million).

The latest UN update of July 2025 estimated the number of displaced persons in Ukraine at 3.340 million versus 3.757 million in April.
