Industry and Trade Ministry extends 20% discount for concessional leasing of light commercial vehicles until end of year

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - The increased 20% discount for light commercial vehicles (LCV) in the concessional leasing program has been extended until the end of the year, the Industry and Trade Ministry press service reported.

The discount for LCVs in the concessional leasing program was first increased temporarily from 10%, but no more than 500,000 rubles, to 20%, not to exceed 1 million rubles, from the beginning of September until October. The Industry and Trade Ministry said that this measure had been reintroduced and extended until the end of the year in response to an order by Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

LCVs produced in 2024 are eligible for the concessional leasing program. Automobiles from other segments can participate in the program providing they were produced no earlier than October 1, 2024.

The 2025 concessional leasing program covers passenger cars, LCVs and trucks with an internal combustion engine which have at least 2,000 localization points, as well as public transport, tourist buses, electric cars, series hybrids, and highly automated transport means produced in Russia.

Autostat reported that sales of new LCVs in Russia had fallen 20% to 71,000 units in January-October 2025.
