Hungary gets waiver from U.S. sanctions on energy supplies via the Druzhba and TurkStream pipelines - Orban

WASHINGTON. Nov 10 (Interfax) - The United States has agreed to exempt Russian energy supplies to Hungary by the Druzhba and TurkStream pipelines from sanctions, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.

Hungary will keep low energy prices owing to the waiver for supplies via the Druzhba and TurkStream pipelines, the EFE news agency quoted Orban as saying.

Orban held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Friday.

Hungary's exemption from these sanctions is a comprehensive and open-ended agreement, Orban said.
