Russian presidential aide Patrushev suggests Indonesia consider technology of small modular NPPs designed by Rosatom
SURABAYA, Indonesia. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russian presidential aide and Russian Maritime Board Chairman Nikolai Patrushev suggested that Indonesia consider the technology of small modular nuclear power plants designed by the state corporation Rosatom.
Patrushev is paying a working visit to Indonesia on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Patrushev met with Khofifah Indar Parawansa, governor of East Java province, on Wednesday. The Russian delegation, composed of many members, was hosted in the governor's residence in Surabaya.
"Our delegation has representatives of the administration of the Industry and Trade Ministry, Rosatom, other ministries and organizations, I recommend establishing direct contact with them. Rosatom has very interesting and already really tested small modular NPP technologies, which can be useful in the economy that your region plans," Patrushev said.
