Russia maintaining constant contacts with U.S. on Ukraine settlement - source

MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The dialogue between Moscow and Washington on Ukraine settlement has not been interrupted and continues on a permanent basis, a diplomatic source in Moscow said.

"The Russian side is maintaining constant dialogue with the Americans on Ukraine settlement. Contacts have not been interrupted," the source told reporters.

"Neither before the phone conversation between [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergei Lavrov and [U.S. Secretary of State] Marco Rubio on October 20 nor during or after it did the Russian side go beyond the framework of the understandings that were reached by the leaders of Russia and the United States during their detailed exchange of opinions on the Ukraine crisis at the summit in Alaska," he said.
