European Commission coordinating with NATO regarding proposed reparations loan for Ukraine - spokesperson

BRUSSELS. Oct 28 (Interfax) - The European Commission is coordinating the proposed European Union reparations loan for Ukraine in the preparation process with all parties involved in this project, including NATO, European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho said on Tuesday.

"We are coordinating, we are reaching out, we are speaking with all those concerned," Pinho told a briefing in Brussels when asked whether the European Commission was coordinating with NATO on the question of preparing the loan.

A European Council discussion of the matter on October 23 was attended by the President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde and Eurogroup President Paschal Donohoe, she said.

"So, obviously we are consulting, discussing with all those actors would be concerned by this proposal," Pinho said.
