EU to ban transactions with Alfa-Bank, MTS Bank, Absolut Bank as of Nov 12

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - The European Union will impose a ban on transactions with five Russian lending institutions as of November 12 as part of the 19th sanctions package, namely Alfa-Bank, MTS Bank , Absolut Bank, Zemsky Bank, and NPO Istina, the EU published on Thursday in its Official Journal.

Moreover, the EU sanctions list includes the Belarusian Alfa-Bank, Sberbank, VTB , Belgazprombank, BelVEB, as well as VTB's subsidiary in Kazakhstan and VTB's branch in Shanghai.
