Russia boosts non-resource, non-energy exports 6% to $111.4 bln in 9M - industry and trade minister

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Russia increased non-resource, non-energy exports 6% year-on-year to $111.4 billion in January-September 2025 according to preliminary data, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov told journalists.

Alikhanov said that $85.4 billion of this was industrial exports and $26 billion was agricultural exports.

"This positive trend will allow us to achieve the export target of $149.2 billion for non-resource, non-energy products, including $111.4 billion of industrial exports and $37.8 billion of agricultural exports," the minister said.

Commenting on the breakdown of non-resource, non-energy exports across industries, Alikhanov said that there had been growth across all key industrial sectors. "In weight terms, the biggest growth was in engineering, non-ferrous metals and mineral fertilizers," he said.

Alikhanov cited data for the first seven months of 2025, which showed that copper exports had increased 87% YoY, aluminum 26% and fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium 42%.

"In terms of geographical areas, Russia's key trade partners in the first seven months of this year, compared with the same period of last year, were still friendly countries such as China, India, Turkey, Belarus, Egypt, Brazil, the UAE and Algeria. The collective growth of non-resource, non-energy exports to these countries was over 19% this year," Alikhanov said.
