Russia sets fertilizer export quota of 18.7 mln tonnes for Dec 2025-May 2026

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The Russian government has decided to extend and adjust export quotas for mineral fertilizers, the governments' press service reported.

The quotas will be in effect from December 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, inclusive, and total 18.7 million tonnes, including more than 10.6 million tonnes for nitrogen fertilizers and over 8 million tonnes for compound fertilizers, it said, citing a signed resolution.

"The decision will make it possible to facilitate the uninterrupted work of agricultural producers, compound feed producers and other consumers, ensuring a sufficient level of fertilizers on the domestic market," the press release said.

The quotas will not apply to fertilizer exports to Abkhazia and South Ossetia, product shipped out of Russia as part of international transit shipments or shipments intended for international humanitarian aid.
