Russian, U.S. high-level advisors to meet next week - Trump

WASHINGTON. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The United States and Russia will organize high-level talks next week, followed by a bilateral summit in Budapest, U.S. President Donald Trump said after his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

"At the conclusion of the call, we agreed that there will be a meeting of our high level advisors, next week," Trump said on Truth Social.

The U.S. delegation will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the venue has yet to be determined, he said.

"President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed upon location, Budapest, Hungary, to see if we can bring this 'inglorious' war, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end," Trump said.
