Tajikistan increases agricultural exports to Russia almost threefold in Jan-July, including twelvefold for vegetables

DUSHANBE. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Tajikistan exported 29,500 tonnes of agricultural products to Russia in January-July 2025, the Khovar National Information Agency of Tajikistan (NIAT) said, with reference to data from the country's Customs Service.

Supplies for the same period in 2024 amounted to 11,500 tonnes. Exports have thus increased 2.6-fold.

Fresh vegetables, fruit, dried fruit, grapes, honey, nuts and other products are exported from Tajikistan to Russia. Specifically, vegetable exports increased by 13,300 tonnes (11.9-fold), and in particular onion exports increased by 12,600 tonnes (thirteenfold). Fruit exports increased by 3,400 tonnes (1.7-fold), including grapes by 642 tonnes (100 times). Supplies of dried fruits increased by 642 tonnes (twofold) and nuts by 165 tons (3.6-fold), the agency said.

Tajikistan is a major exporter of dried fruits in Central Asia.
