Kazakhstan's international reserves increase 3.7% in Sept, 15% since start of year
ASTANA. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's gross international reserves, including the gold and foreign exchange reserves of the country's National Bank and the assets of the National Fund, amounted to $120.4 billion at the end of September, the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) said.
The country's international reserves were $116.1 billion in August and $104.7 billion at the end of 2024. The indicator therefore increased 3.7% in September and has risen 15% since the start of the year.
The assets of the National Fund reached $62.71 billion at the end of September, increasing 1.5% over the month.
The gross international reserves of the National Bank increased 6.2% over the past month to $57.7 billion, including currency assets of almost $18 billion (-8.4%), and gold assets of $39.7 billion (+14.5%). The net international reserves of the NBK increased 6.3% to $55.5 billion.
