Serious pause emerges in Ukrainian settlement dialogue - Kremlin
DUSHANBE. Oct 9 (Interfax) - A serious pause has emerged in the Ukrainian settlement dialogue, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"First of all, this is related to the actual emergence of a serious pause in the dialogue process, the process of development of the Istanbul negotiations," Peskov told journalists, when asked to comment on the opinion that the peace impetus from the Alaska summit had been exhausted to a considerable extent.
"There is still no substantive answer from the Ukrainian side regarding the draft document, working groups. No further progress has been made," Peskov said.
Kiev "has been inspired by the Europeans and now has no inclination towards the peace process whatsoever," Peskov said. "They believe that something will change at the front and they will go into positive dynamics. But the actual state of affairs proves the opposite," he said.
