Turkmenistan's GDP grows 6.3% in Jan-Sept - deputy PM

ASHGABAT. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Economic growth in Turkmenistan amounted to 6.3% in 9M 2025, the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan reported, citing Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Hojamurat Geldimyradov.

Output increased 10% and production indicators by sector are positive, Geldimyradov said at a government meeting discussing the results of the country's socio-economic development in January-September.

In particular, industry grew 1.8% and agriculture 5%. Growth in construction was 7%, in the transport and communications sector it was 10.8%, in trade it was 9.6% and in the service sector it was 8.4%.

Retail trade turnover increased 13.2% and foreign trade turnover - 8.5%.

The revenue part of the state budget for the three quarters of 2025 was executed at 100.2%, and the expenditure part was executed at 96.3%, Geldimyradov said. Capital investment utilized from all sources of financing grew 8.7%.

Wage levels at large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased 11.8% year-on-year in 9M, and wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were financed in a timely manner, he said.

As reported, Turkmenistan's GDP growth rate was also 6.3% in 9M 2024, and at the same level for all of last year.
