VTB deputy CEO, head of retail Alexander Pakhomov leaves group - newspaper

MOSCOW. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Deputy CEO at VTB Alexander Pakhomov, who has led the group's retail business since May of this year, is leaving the bank, newspaper Kommersant wrote, citing sources close to VTB.

The sources said that he would leave the group on October 1.

Pakhomov led the group's retail business under the supervision of First Deputy CEO Olga Skorobogatova, who joined VTB at the start of April. Kommersant said that VTB was not planning to seek out a new head for the retail department at the deputy CEO level. Skorobogatova will henceforth manage the group's entire retail business directly.

Before VTB, Pakhomov had been head of Post Bank since 2022. Prior to this, he worked in management roles at the Otkritie bank, overseeing the retail business and regional chain, and was on the supervisory boards of the Rosgosstrakh insurance company, Open Digital Solutions and Binbank. Before this, he was part of the management team at VTB 24.

VTB serves more than 26 million active retail clients in all regions of Russia, both through its office network and with the help of visiting managers. In June of this year, RNKB was officially merged with VTB, and there are further plans to integrate Post Bank next year.

Skorobogatova left the CBR in December 2024 to continue her career outside of the bank, having joined in 2014 and subsequently being appointed first deputy governor in September 2017, overseeing four departments, including the national payment system, financial and information technologies and operations.
