Autumn maintenance on Power of Siberia completed, Russian gas supplies to China resume

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Planned maintenance work was carried out on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline from September 18 to 26.

"Gas transportation, which was suspended for the duration of the maintenance, resumed today," Gazprom said.

In accordance with the gas sales and purchase agreement for the eastern route between Gazprom and the Chinese company CNPC, maintenance of the equipment and systems of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline is carried out twice a year - in spring and autumn, the company said.

Supplies of Russian gas to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline began in 2019 under a long-term gas sales and purchase agreement between Gazprom and CNPC.

Starting from 2020, supplies have been exceeding annual contractual obligations each year.

In 2024, 31.12 billion cubic meters of gas were exported via the pipeline.

On December 1, 2024 - one month ahead of the original schedule - daily supplies via the Power of Siberia were brought to the maximum contractual level (38 bcm per annum).
