IAEA head says important to continue discussing nuclear security, non-proliferation with Russia

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has said it is important to discuss nuclear security and non-proliferation with Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Grossi in the Kremlin on Thursday. Grossi said at the meeting that many countries were interested in cooperating with Rosatom and the agency's presence was essential to support projects.

There is a number of other issues, such as nuclear safety and security and nuclear non-proliferation, and it is important to discuss them with Russia, Grossi said.
