Russia to make every effort to strengthen partnership with India - Russian deputy PM
NEW DELHI. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Russia values strategic partnership with India, economic interaction between the countries is gaining an increasingly impressive scale every year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said at a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
"Russia values its especially privileged partnership with India. It is one of Russia's key allies on the international scene. Russian-Indian economic interaction is gaining an increasingly impressive scale every year. In 2024, trade between our countries reached a historical maximum," Patrushev said.
The meeting participants also discussed the work to sign a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and India. Besides, the issue of creation a BRICS Grain Exchange, which will increase mutual supplies of agricultural products, was raised.
Patrushev said Russia will make every effort to strengthen partnership between the two countries and continue constructive dialogue on all issues concerning industry interaction.
