Russia's GDP growth forecast at 1.3% in 2026 - Mishustin

MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The forecast for Russia's socio-economic development for 2025-2028, which is being considered by the government on Wednesday, envisages Russian economic growth of 1.3% in 2026, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"The draft budget is based on the basic version of the socio-economic development forecast. The document assumes that next year GDP will grow 1.3%. Over the three-year period, it will increase almost 7%, amounting to about 276 trillion rubles in nominal terms," Mishustin said when opening a cabinet meeting.

The previous version of the macroeconomic forecast assumed Russian GDP growth in 2026 of 2.4%.
