Igor Krasnov appointed Russian Supreme Court chairman
MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The Federation Council has appointed Igor Krasnov to the post of Russian Supreme Court chairman.
This decision was adopted by the senators at the first meeting of the chamber's fall session on Wednesday.
Under Russian legislation, the Federation Council appoints the Supreme Court chair following the president's nomination and after receiving a positive conclusion from the Higher Qualification Board of Judges.
