Kazakh, U.S. presidents discuss cooperation prospects
ASTANA. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with U.S. President Donald Trump during a working visit to New York, the Kazakh leader's press service said in a statement on Monday.
"The meeting focused largely on the prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States. Trump noted the importance of broader economic and trade cooperation," the statement said.
The presidents also discussed pressing international issues, it said.
Tokayev is in New York where he is due to speak at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
