European Commission approves 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions - spokesperson

BRUSSELS. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The European Commission has approved the 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia, European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho said.

"We can confirm that the [European] Commission has adopted a new package of sanctions against Russia, the 19th package, and President [Ursula] von der Leyen will make a statement on this regard with HRVP [Kaja] Kallas this afternoon announcing precisely this package of sanctions," Pinho said at a press briefing in Brussels on Friday.
