Vimm-Bill-Dann transfers Ufamolagroprom's production capacity to agroholding Komos Group
IZHEVSK. Sept 11 (Interfax) - The agroholding Komos Group will begin contract production of dairy products at the facilities of the Ufamolagroprom dairy plant, which was previously part of the company Vimm-Bill-Dann, the agroholding's press service said.
"JSC Vimm-Bill-Dann is transferring the milk processing enterprise in the city of Ufa with the aim of increasing business efficiency and optimizing operational processes," the press service said.
The enterprise will be transferred to the agroholding Komos Group along with all equipment and existing infrastructure, it said.
"Under the management of the agroholding, the plant in Ufa will continue to receive and process raw milk in current volumes and make products under the brands of JSC Vimm-Bill-Dann - Domik v Derevne and Frugurt," it said.
All employees of Ufamolagroprom, numbering around 150 people, will be offered the chance to transfer to work under the management of Komos Group LLC with the preservation of existing work functions and working conditions, it said.
In August, it was reported that JSC Milkom (Izhevsk, a sub-holding for milk processing within the agroholding Komos Group) established JSC Ufa Dairy Plant in Bashkiria.
Komos Group unites a sub-holding for milk processing, poultry farms, pig breeding complexes, meat processing plants, a cold storage plant and feed mills. The holding's enterprises operate in Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Bashkiria and Perm Territory. The company is equally controlled by manager Andrei Shutov and businessman Andrei Oskolkov.
Milkom includes Izhmoloko, Sarapul-moloko, Glazov-moloko, Kez Cheese Factory, Perm Cold Storage Plant Sozvezdie and Kazan Dairy Combine LLC.
It was previously reported that JSC Vimm-Bill-Dann incorporated JSC Ufamolagroprom in 2007 as part of the consolidation of dairy assets.
In early March 2022, the company PepsiCo announced that it had decided to suspend the sale of soft drinks in Russia, as well as investment and advertising activities in the country. However, the company continued the sale of dairy products and baby food. These assets are united by the company Vimm-Bill-Dann.
