Aeroflot to resume flights to Krasnodar on Sept 17
MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Aeroflot is to resume flights from Moscow to Krasnodar on September 17, CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky told journalists.
"We are also planning to launch direct flights to the capital of the Kuban from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Kazan and Novosibirsk in September," he said via the company's press service.
"By the end of the month, we will resume international routes from Krasnodar, including flights to Yerevan, Istanbul and the Al Maktoum airport in Dubai," Alexandrovsky said.
The Transport Ministry previously reported the resumption of operations at Krasnodar Airport from 09:00 Moscow time on Thursday. Flights by civil aircraft can be operated daily from 09:00 to 19:00 Moscow time, the Federal Air Transport Agency said. The flight intensity should not exceed five take-off and landing operations per hour.
For security reasons, airports in Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Elista, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Simferopol and Lipetsk were closed in February 2022. In May 2024, Elista Airport resumed operations, and Gelendzhik Airport did so in July this year.
