Former CEO of Superjet 100 manufacturer Andrei Boginsky becomes head of Aurus

MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - The former CEO of PJSC Yakovlev Andrei Boginsky has been appointed the head of the Russian luxury car manufacturer Aurus, according to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The corresponding changes were made to the register on September 9. Boginsky became the head of the parent Elabuga-based Aurus LLC, which specializes in the production of Aurus cars, as well as the Moscow-based subsidiary Aurus Motors LLC, which is engaged in car trading and other activities related to the auto brand.

Boginsky was born on August 11, 1974, in Bryansk. He began working in aviation-related structures in 2010, becoming deputy CEO for economics and finance of the Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. In May 2012, he headed the Aviation Industry Department at the Industry and Trade Ministry. From February 2015 to December 2016, he worked as deputy industry and trade minister under Denis Manturov. From January 2017 to December 2021, Boginsky held the position of CEO of the Russian Helicopters holding. In December 2021, he was appointed CEO of the Irkut Corporation (now Yakovlev) and took the post of deputy head of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) for civil aviation.

Boginsky left his executive positions at UAC at the end of November 2024.

At Aurus, he has replaced Andrei Pankov, who had led the project since the end of 2022.
