U.S. Department of Energy maintains forecast for liquid hydrocarbon production in Azerbaijan for 2025-2026
BAKU. Sept 10 (Interfax) - The Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the U.S. Department of Energy has kept its forecast for liquid hydrocarbon production in Azerbaijan in 2025-2026 unchanged for the third consecutive month.
According to the agency's monthly forecast, production of liquid hydrocarbons in Azerbaijan will amount to 0.57 million barrels per day in the current year. The July forecast was also 0.57 million bpd. In Q1, actual production was 0.57 million bpd, in Q2 - 0.57 million bpd and in Q3 and Q4 production is forecast at 0.56 million bpd each, which matches the previous estimate.
In 2026, the EIA expects liquid hydrocarbon production in Azerbaijan to be 0.54 million bpd per day. In Q1, production is forecast at 0.55 million bpd, in Q2 - 0.54 million bpd, and in Q3 and Q4 - 0.53 million bpd each. All forecasts coincide with the previous estimate.
In 2024, liquid hydrocarbon production in the country amounted to 0.6 million bpd.
