Russian Post, India Post discuss delivery of Indian e-commerce goods
MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Russian Post and India Post discussed a number of areas of cooperation at the Congress of the Universal Postal Union, including logistical solutions for delivery of e-commerce goods, the Russian company said in a press release.
The main subject of discussion between the two countries' postal administrations was the organization of transportation to Russia for goods from Indian marketplaces, the company said.
At the initial stage, the companies are considering launching Express Mail Service deliveries of samples of spices, food products, cosmetics and souvenirs from Indian small and medium businesses.
Russian Post and India Post are also discussing the exchange of targeted electronic money transfers through the VPS financial system.
Cross-border deliveries between the two countries are growing this year. The share of Russia-India import and export shipments in total international traffic in the first half of 2025 exceeded the share of such shipments in all of 2024.
