Russia's consolidated budget deficit narrows to 4 trillion rubles in Jan-July - Treasury

MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russia had a consolidated budget deficit of 4.006 trillion rubles for January-July 2025 according to a preliminary estimate, the Federal Treasury said on its website.

The consolidated budget deficit for January-June 2025 was 4.953 trillion rubles, so there was a July surplus of 952.5 billion rubles.

There was a consolidated budget surplus of 1.014 trillion rubles for January-July 2024.

Consolidated budget revenue rose to 42.032 trillion rubles in January-July 2025 from 39.513 trillion rubles in January-July 2024. Consolidated expenditure increased to 46.032 trillion rubles from 38.499 trillion rubles a year previously.

There was a federal budget deficit of 4.622 trillion rubles in January-July with revenue of 20.328 trillion rubles and spending of 24.949 trillion rubles.

Constituent members or regions of the Russian Federation had a consolidated budget surplus of 246.2 billion rubles, with revenue of 14.563 trillion rubles and expenditure of 14.317 trillion rubles.

The budgets of state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 232.3 billion rubles in the first seven months, with revenue of 12.368 trillion rubles and expenditure of 12.136 trillion rubles.

The budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds had a surplus of 142.5 billion rubles, with revenue of 2.277 trillion rubles and expenditure of 2.135 trillion rubles.
