Hungary will not support Ukraine's EU accession - foreign minister

BERLIN. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Budapest is still against Ukraine joining the European Union, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Friday.

"No matter how much Zelensky counts on Russia to influence us, Hungary will not support Ukraine's EU accession," Szijjarto said on social media.

"The only thing we care about is what the Hungarian people think, and they have spoken clearly: they don't want Ukraine in the EU, as it would destroy our farmers, our labor market, and our security," he said.
