Fico discusses energy infrastructure security with Zelensky - media

PRAGUE. Sept 5 (Interfax) - The situation in the energy sector was among the central topics on the agenda of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"Energy infrastructure was one of the main issues at the talks," Slovak media said on Friday.

The meeting with Zelensky took place after Fico returned from China, where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. Fico said earlier that during that important conversation, he drew a number of conclusions, and wanted to share them with Zelensky.

Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces delivered several strikes on facilities of the infrastructure of the Druzhba pipeline, which carries oil to Slovakia and Hungary through Ukrainian territory. Oil shipments were suspended because of those strikes.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, for his part, called such actions by Kiev an attack against Hungary and Slovakia.
