Mongolia could buy Russian gas as well as transport it to China, study is underway

VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Mongolia, through which a gas pipeline from Russia to China is to be laid, could make use of this itself, Mongolian Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar said during an Eastern Economic Forum plenary session.

He said Mongolia was not just ready to become a transit country for the supply of Russian gas to China, but could also buy it, as well as connect large cities to the gas pipeline, that is, carry out gasification.

He said research was underway. "And the devil is in the details. Therefore, we still need to study and discuss it," Zandanshatar said.
