Russian Fishery Company to develop digital transformation together with Sberbank
VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Russian Fishery Company (RFC) and Sberbank have signed an agreement on cooperation in digital technologies and artificial intelligence tools for business process optimization at the Eastern Economic Forum.
"The main goal of the agreement is the exchange of experience in digital transformation and support for projects to improve existing processes using AI solutions," RFC said in a press release.
The company strives to use advanced technologies to optimize production processes, improve product quality and enhance customer interaction, RFC Group Board Chairman Savely Karpukhin was quoted as saying in the press release. "Cooperation with Sberbank in the field of digital technologies will allow us not only to optimize business processes but also to introduce innovative technologies that will help us become more competitive in the market," he said.
Today, the competitiveness of a business depends not only on the availability of resources but also on the level of proficiency in modern technologies, the head of the Customer Transformation Department for CIB at Sberbank, Andrei Dmitriev, was cited as saying. Several specialized workshops on the use of generative artificial intelligence capabilities were organized together with the company.
RFC is one of Russia's largest producers of wild white fish. It operates in the Bering and Okhotsk Seas, with the main commercial species being pollock and Pacific herring. More than 80% of the catch is pollock. The company provides the entire production chain - from catching fish to its deep processing into a product with high added value such as fillets, mince and surimi.
RFC is building a new fleet of 11 super trawlers. Each is designed for the annual catch and onboard processing of 60,000 tonnes of fish, which is 2.5 times the productivity of the vessels currently in operation which form the backbone of the fishing fleet in the Russian Far East.
