Putin, Vucic meet in Beijing, energy high on their talks' agenda

ROME. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Energy was among the central topics on the agenda of a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Serbia's RTS television channel reported on Tuesday.

"I hope that we will be able to not only maintain the range of aspects of cooperation but also expand it. For us, energy is a very important sphere, as well as gas supplies," Vucic told Serbian journalists in Beijing, where the meeting with Putin took place.

"Thanks to the oil pipeline that will be built together with Hungary, Serbia will be able to improve cooperation with Russia in the energy sector," he said.

"We welcome all Russian companies, everyone who would like to participate in infrastructure projects in Serbia, including Russian Railways, Rosatom and many others," Vucic said.
