Russia, China to hold talks on mung bean, wheat bran exports to China

MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Russia and China will hold talks on exports of mung bean and wheat bran to the Chinese market.

The corresponding decrees were signed by the government on August 29 and posted on the official legal information portal. They approve the Agriculture Ministry's proposal to hold talks between Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhosnadzor and the Chinese General Customs Administration with the aim of signing a protocol on phytosanitary requirements for mung bean and wheat brain exports from Russia.

As Rosselkhosnadzor has reported, one of its priorities is to obtain rights to export Russian wheat bran and mung bean to the Chinese market.

It is also working towards obtaining permission to supply the Chinese market with winter wheat and barley, edible soybean meal, beet pulp with molasses, red beans, linseed cake, millet, mustard and malt.

At the beginning of July 2025, Russia obtained permission to export rye flour and semolina grain to China.
