Simplified procedure for confirming compliance of imported, released products in Russia extended for another year
MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The Russian government has once again extended the simplified procedure for confirming compliance of imported and released products in Russia, until September 1, 2026.
A resolution to this effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
This applies, in particular, to spare parts imported for servicing or repairing previously released machinery and equipment in Russia, as well as to components, parts, raw materials, or materials for manufacturing products within the country.
The special procedure for permitting activities in Russia was approved in 2022 by resolution no. 353, including appendix no. 18 regarding the specific features of assessing compliance of released products with technical regulations and other mandatory requirements. The government allowed manufacturers and exporters to use the simplified procedure for releasing products onto the Russian market by submitting a declaration of conformity for goods, based on their own evidence, without conducting lengthy laboratory tests.
After 2022, the simplified regime was extended several times; according to the latest decision, its validity period was set to expire on September 1, 2025. The practice of operating under the simplified procedure has proven effective and will continue to be in effect, the government said.
To prevent cases of substandard products entering the domestic market, manufacturers and exporters were obligated, after submitting a declaration under the simplified scheme and releasing the product to the market, to confirm within six months that the goods comply with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) technical regulations or the requirements of Russian legislation in the field of technical regulation, the government said.
