Ukrainian govt proposes terminating effect of int'l automobile transportation convention with respect to Russia

MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has asked the Verkhovna Rada to terminate the effect of a convention on international automobile passenger and baggage transportation with respect to Russia.

The government made the corresponding decision at its meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian media reported citing government representative to the Rada Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, the government endorsed a bill terminating the effect of the Convention on International Automobile Passenger and Baggage Transportation in relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which was signed in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on October 9, 1997.
