Ukraine's agricultural production down 18.5% in Jan-July 2025 - State Statistics Service
MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Ukraine's agricultural production decreased by 18.5% YoY in January-June 2025, Ukrainian media said, citing the State Statistics Service.
The State Statistics Service explained the decline with the lesser output of crop production. It referred to seasonal crop production as one of the reasons, alongside bad weather that delayed harvesting of grain and oilseed crops and a decrease in their yield.
Crop production decreased by 25.5% versus a 4.7% decline in livestock production, the service said. Enterprises reduced their overall production by 22.3%, with crop production falling by 30.6% and livestock production by 2.3%.
Households also reduced production: overall production decreased by 10.3%, crop production by 11.7%, and livestock production by 8.3%.
