Putin comments on Russian-U.S. summit in Anchorage in phone call with Erdogan - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on the Russian-U.S. summit in Alaska in a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.

Putin "commented on the Russian-U.S. summit in Anchorage" during the phone call, it said.

"The leaders discussed the latest developments around Ukraine. The Russian side lauded Turkey's assistance in the negotiations conducted by representatives of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul," the presidential press service said.

"Certain current items on the bilateral agenda, including further development of trade and investments," were touched upon, it said.

It was agreed to continue personal contacts, the press service said.
