Russian oil supply resumes through Druzhba pipeline - Hungarian FM
BERLIN. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Russia has fixed the Druzhba pipeline damaged by a Ukrainian strike and oil supply to Hungary has resumed, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Tuesday.
"Oil deliveries to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline have been restored after the Ukrainian attack two days ago. I thanked Russian Deputy Energy Minister [Pavel] Sorokin for the swift repairs," Szijjarto said on X.
"We expect Ukraine not to strike this vital pipeline again. This is not our war. Hungary must be left out of it!" he said.
As reported on Monday, Ukrainian forces struck a substation of the Druzhba pipeline supplying oil to Hungary and Slovakia overnight.
Szijjarto said later that Kiev was responsible for the suspended delivery of Russian oil to Hungary.
It was reported on August 18 that Russian oil supply to Slovakia had also stopped.
