Putin, Trump discuss idea of raising level of Moscow, Kiev reps at direct Russia-Ukraine talks - Kremlin aide Ushakov
MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the possibility of raising the level of representatives from Moscow and Kiev at direct Russia-Ukraine talks, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
"In particular, the idea was discussed that it would be worthwhile to explore the possibility of raising the level of representatives from the Ukrainian and Russian sides, that is the level of the representatives participating in the mentioned direct negotiations," Ushakov told journalists.
The Putin-Trump phone call took place overnight Moscow time.
