Russia boosts sunflower oil exports to Turkey 1.6-fold to $640 mln in 7M - Agroexport
MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Russia exported sunflower oil to Turkey worth nearly $640 million in January-July 2025, up 1.6-fold compared to the same period last year, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.
Supplies rose 17% in volume terms, reaching over 560,000 tonnes.
Sunflower oil shipments to Turkey are recovering and have already approached the level recorded in 7M 2021, which stood at around $645 million, Agroexport said.
The figure for 7M 2022 was even higher, at over $925 million, Agroexport said.
Turkey ranks second among the top importers of Russian sunflower oil. The top three buyers also include Iran in first place and India in third.
