EAEU prime ministers to meet in Kyrgyzstan on Aug 14-15
MINSK. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries will gather at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan's Cholpon-Ata on August 14-15, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) press service said.
The meeting participants plan to endorse a program for the development of exchange trading on a common exchange (organized) market of goods within the EAEU and consider the EEC's 2024 report on competition on transboundary markets and measures to prevent violations of common competition rules on them, as well as reports on the formation of common EAEU markets of gas, oil, and oil products.
"The prime ministers will make amendments to a plan of measures for implementing key aspects and stages of a coordinated transport policy of the EAEU member states for 2024-2026, discuss the implementation of a plan of primary measures for digitalizing rail freight shipments in the EAEU and measures envisaged by the Digitalization of Transport Corridors section of a plan for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and China," it said.
The meeting participants are also planning to consider the implementation of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council's instruction on employing approaches toward regulating climate agenda items and a report on the feasibility of aligning qualification requirements on the most sought-for professions on the EAEU's labor market and the procedure for confirming professional qualifications. Apart from that, the meeting agenda also includes a discussion on concepts of the development of common markets of medicines and medical articles in the EAEU.
