Russia plans to organize railroad transportation with Laos via China - Putin

MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Russia plans to start railroad transportation with Laos and container transportation by sea with Laos due to an increase in cargo flows between Russia and Laos, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after Russian-Laotian talks.

"Due to an increase in mutual cargo flows, issues concerning expansion of container transportation by sea from Laos to Vladivostok through Vietnam's ports are being considered," the president said.

"There are plans to also organize railroad cargo [transportation] through the territory of China, which is friendly to us," Putin said.
