Raspadskaya launches longwall face at Uskovskaya mine with reserves exceeding 2.2 mln tonnes of coking coal
KEMEROVO. July 30 (Interfax) - PJSC Raspadskaya has commissioned a longwall face at the Uskovskaya mine with reserves exceeding 2.2 million tonnes of GZ-grade coking coal, the press service of Raspadskaya Coal Company (RCC, which manages the PJSC's assets) said.
The mine's workers plan to complete the extraction of reserves from the longwall face by April 2026. The mine's total balance reserves amount to 328 million tonnes of coal, with industrial reserves standing at 153 million tonnes.
The length of the longwall face is 1,710 meters. The coal face is located at a depth of up to 370 meters. Its preparation began in June 2024. Three tunneling crews drove a total of 9 kilometers of mine workings.
PJSC Raspadskaya consolidates enterprises of an integrated coking coal mining complex, including Russia's largest mine Raspadskaya, Raspadsky Open Pit, the Raspadskaya-Koksovaya mine, as well as Mezhegeyugol and the Alardinskaya, Osinnikovskaya, Uskovskaya, Erunakovskaya-8 and Esaulskaya mines.
