Trump's Special Envoy Witkoff says Ukraine settlement is possible

WASHINGTON. July 28 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff believes that a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine could be achieved, saying that he intends to make it happen.

"It should happen," Witkoff told Fox News on Sunday.

Witkoff said he agrees with Trump's statements that this conflict "should have never happened." "I hope we will get that solved," he said.

Witkoff also said he sees the possible signing of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine as a crowning achievement of his diplomatic career.
