TikTok fined 4 mln rubles for non-observance of Russian legislation requirements

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - A magistrate court found the company TikTok guilty of non-observance of the Russian legislation requirements and fined it four million rubles, the court press service said on Monday.

"A magistrate has fined TikTok Pte.Ltd four million rubles," the press service said.

The company was found guilty of committing an administrative offence envisaged by Article 19.7.10-4 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences (non-fulfillment by an owner of a social network of an order issued by a federal body of executive authority).

TikTok was earlier subjected to liability by Russian courts for various administrative offences.

TikTok said on March 6, 2022 it had decided to temporarily ban the publication of new videos and direct broadcasts in Russia over the law on fakes.
