Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev heads intergovernmental committee with Mali

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev has been appointed co-chairman of the Russia-Mali Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

This is the result of a decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

At the request of the Russian president, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak visited Mali at the end of 2024, as part of a Russian delegation which also included business representatives. There, Novak met with Mali's transitional prime minister Abdoulaye Maiga and government ministers, and conducted talks with transitional president Assimi Goita. The parties discussed partnerships in trade and economics, energy, transport, infrastructure, agriculture and mineral production.
